Walter White and Jesse Pinkman have their statues in Albuquerque | Digital Trends Spanish

In Aluburquerque, New Mexico, there are the two statues of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, commissioned by Sony Pictures Television and donated to that American town as a reminder of the filming of the series and its spin-off, Better Call Saul, on that site.

The tribute to Breaking Bad shows two bronze statues of Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul assuming their iconic characters in the series that aired between 2008 and 2013.

The statues were designed by artist Trevor Grove and will be located in the Albuquerque Convention Center so that anyone who wants to can visit them.

The creator himself breaking badVince Gilligan, recognized that a monument to “two infamous fictitious methamphetamine dealers” like Jesse and Walter may not be seen in a good way by all people. However, he believes it can still serve as a tribute to Albuquerque and a warning about the harmfulness of drugs.

“In all seriousness, some people are going to say, ‘Wow, just what our city needed.’ And I get it.” Gillian said. “I see two of the best actors America has given us. I see them, in character, as two figures larger than life, tales of caution.”
