The first trailer for the highly anticipated film Dungeons & Dragons debuted Thursday in Hall H at the San Diego Comic-Con 2022. officially titled Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thievesthe footage comes a day after first-look images of the cast were released in a immersive tavern experience.
The film’s cast includes Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Sophia Lillis and Hugh Grant. All five actors were at the Comic-Con panel. Producer Jeremy Latcham and co-directors/writers Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley also joined the cast onstage for the panel. Justice Smith, Chloe Coleman, Jason Wong and Daisy Head from The Quarry will star in the film despite not being present.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a fantasy adventure movie based on the famous role-playing game of the same name. The first footage teases a heist movie mixed with fantasy elements. The trailer casts Pine as a bard, explaining how he helped “unleash the greatest evil the world has ever known.” To correct his mistake, he forms a team of thieves to join the fight against evil. The team includes Rodriguez as a barbarian, Page as a paladin, Smith as a sorcerer, and Lillis as a druid.
there have been three dungeons and dragons movies prior to Honor Among Thieves. include Dungeons & Dragons from 2000, Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God from 2012 and Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God by 2012. Honor Among Thieves it will serve as a reboot of the series.
