We will have to wait longer to see the series of The Last of Us | Digital Trends Spanish

Video game fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere of the series The Last Of Us, the adaptation that HBO is preparing with Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey on the popular video game.

Although at some point it was indicated that fiction could reach the screen this year, the team in charge of production has made it clear that this is impossible.

In fact, in the best of cases, we will be able to see the arrival of The Last Of Us to streaming in 2023.

At least that is how HBO’s content chief, Casey Boys, made it clear in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“The Last of Us is shooting right now in Canada. We haven’t announced an air date yet, but it’s not 2022. They’re still shooting in Calgary,” he explained.

While in conversation with dead line, Bloys added: “The Last of Us is not going to air in 2022: they are still shooting in Canada. I imagine they will see it in 2023.”

It should be remembered that the idea that the series could arrive this year began to circulate after several images of the recording set that showed both protagonists were released.

One of them, Pedro Pascal, has assured in an interview that fans will be able to expect an adaptation that will live up to the successful video game.

“I think the adaptation is more than capable of competing with the game. I have absolutely no doubt that we will not disappoint the fans or the new viewers,” said the Chilean actor in dialogue with Neelix.
