Starlink Premium will also double your upload speed from 20 to 40 Mbps, compared to 10 to 20 Mbps for the regular tier.

The problem for those interested is that this new level of service is also associated with an increase in price. According to an article in TheVergeStarlink Premium will be worth $500 dollars per month in addition to the $2,500 dollars that you have to pay for your antenna.

This is an increase from the standard tier which costs $99 per month on top of a $499 hardware payment.

To the Premium service you also have to add a deposit of $500 dollars to reserve an antenna.

According to the Starlink website, this new service is mainly aimed at “small offices, shops and super users around the world.” The first deliveries of this service should start in the second quarter of 2022.

Starlink promises that its Premium tier will work best in extreme weather conditions and that its customers will have access to priority support 24 hours a day.

This new release has been reported through Elon Musk’s social networks. His company also published an image where he compares what both services offer.
