fans of the emoji and of WhatsApp have a reason to be excited this Monday, as it was reported that an official update will slowly begin to be released so that users can react with any emoticon to a message.
Everything was announced by the CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, in a Facebook post. “We are rolling out the ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp,” the CEO wrote before listing a couple of his favorite emojis.
Like the emoji reactions above, the feature can be accessed by long-pressing on the message you want to react to. This opens the menu containing the six previous emoji reactions along with one more new icon. Tapping the plus icon opens a menu containing all available emoji, ranging from standard smiley faces to recent additions like the hello emoji and melted face, and also includes different skin tone variations.
