The Microsoft company announced the arrival of new features in Windows 11. The most important is the support for Android applications through the Amazon Appstore.
From this moment, the Microsoft Store, the native Windows application store, began to incorporate more than a thousand new applications and video games after reaching an agreement with the Amazon Appstore.
Thus, for the first time, Android mobile applications can be used through the support of Intel Bridge technology, a function that was announced since the launch of the new Microsoft operating system.
For now, Android app support in Windows 11 is only available to users in the United States, although it should be extended in the coming weeks and months.
Also, from the company they explain that the function is in its preview phase, so its final version cannot yet be accessed.
“These apps feel like a part of Windows, naturally integrating with Windows input and window experiences, like instant layouts,” explained Microsoft product manager Panos Panay.
From the technology they also announced that the Windows 11 taskbar will begin to receive a series of improvements from this month, which would allow you to see more information and make access to applications easier.
These new tools include the option to mute, unmute or share and are aimed at making video calls easier without having to switch between windows.
A quick view of the weather widget will also be presented.
