Windows 11: change the default browser with a single click | Digital Trends Spanish

From now on it is easier to change the default browser in Windows 11. Microsoft has started rolling out a new update, KB5011563, which allows users to easily change the default browser with a single click. The company thus responds to one of the main demands on the part of users.

From now on, those who update to the latest version of Windows 11 will find it easier to choose a new default web browser. All they have to do is access Settings, Default Applications and enter the browser of choice, which can be Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Brave, among others.

Being in that section, people will see a message that invites them to make the program the default option. Thus, what used to involve making a change in the file managers, can now be carried out with a simple click, which is a significant improvement over previous versions.

It’s not entirely clear why it took Microsoft so long to implement this change, especially since it was one of the most requested changes by customers. At least now we know that the company listens to users, despite the fact that it can take a long time to respond to their requests.

It is possible that this is not the last important change announced by Microsoft since it will present other news related to its latest operating system on April 5, where new functions and tools for the hybrid work format will also be shown.
