XTube porn site says goodbye forever | Digital Trends Spanish

The frontal war against piracy and illegal pornography on the internet has a new victim, as the Xtube site announced that from September 5 it will close permanently.

The site is part of the Pornhub network, which also groups adult sites like RedTube and YouPorn, and production companies like Brazzers Digital Playground and Reality Kings.

Xtube is also owned by MindGeek, a Canadian company that was founded in 2004 and has been in the pornography business since that date.

The large number of lawsuits that the company has received, such as illegal content uploaded to the platforms, such as rape, child sexual abuse and revenge pornography, has made the triple X site pay for the broken dishes.

Activist Laila Mickelwait warned of the news on Twitter:

BREAKING: Major MindGeek porn tube site Xtube is SHUTTING DOWN September 5.

Lesson: If you can’t operate legally, you can’t operate at all.

The specific history of XTube begins in 2006, when it allows users to upload their own porn content, however, a lot of these videos or photos are not legal.

On their site they do have a broader definition of their life in the networks:

“XTube was first released in March 2006 by Kurtis Potec and the team at Webnovas Technologies Inc. It has a user population of nearly 10 million members and continues to grow. It is the first adult site on the Internet. “Log on and Get off” was our first catchphrase. It is one of the only places where a normal person can make videos at home and sell them online.

In addition, the site establishes that September 16, 2021 will be the last day on which the remaining payment balances will be made for premium users.
