The judicial authority on duty in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Gran Canaria, has agreed to release, with measures, Juan Francisco Vargas, father of the child who disappeared 14 years ago Yéremi Vargas, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against freedom and indemnity sexual, rating that could vary throughout the investigation.
The father of Yéremi Vargas, arrested again for another alleged sexual assault on a minor
The defendant, as he did on Monday before another similar complaint filed by his own daughter, refused to testify.
The measures imposed are the prohibition of approaching or communicating with the complainant, prohibition of leaving the island, withdrawal of passport and obligation to appear (atpud minutes) every Monday before the judicial authority. The investigation is in the hands of the Court of Instruction number 3 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
The victim, who is the daughter of an ex-partner of Vargas, decided to denounce these events in Fuerteventura (the island where she resides), which allegedly occurred a year ago, after seeing in the media last Monday that the daughter of Vargas had denounced him for sexual abuse. For this first complaint, Vargas was on probation and with a restraining order for the victim when he was arrested again.
Juan Francisco Vargas is the father of Yéremi, the seven-year-old boy who disappeared 14 years ago when he was playing with other children in a field a few meters from his family residence, in Vecindario, Gran Canaria.
