Sometimes there are calls that must be answered yes or yes. It happened this Thursday to the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, José Luis Escrivá, who had to attend a call from the Second Vice President of the Government, Yolanda Díaz, while giving a talk at the Summer Courses of the Complutense University of Madrid, which are held in the town of El Escorial.
“Yolanda, I am currently in a Yolanda [sic]… by the way, I am here explaining our labor reform”, Escrivá said to the laughter and applause of the public.
Next to the minister was the former Minister of Health until January 2020, Luisa Carcedo, who is president of the Pablo Iglesias Foundation and directs this course on Next Generation European funds.
While Díaz was on the other end of the phone, the minister turned his mobile towards the public so that he could hear the applause.
“They are applauding you, Yolanda. We’ll talk in a while,” the minister said with a laugh, and apologized: “sorry, this wasn’t prepared.”
A curious moment, that no one expected. “Sometimes politics gives us moments like this… Thank you, dear José Luis,” the vice president wrote later on Twitter.
Last October, Minister Escrivá also starred in a funny episode in public when, appearing standing before a transparent lectern, he poured water into what he thought was a glass and was actually the hole in the lectern itself.
“I notice that this video about an intervention of mine has provoked many reactions. However, I do not find something that I have been ruminating since then; Who designed such a lectern? ”, She wrote on her Twitter social network profile.
