The WhatsApp application for iPhone now allows you to listen to audio even if you’re in another chat, a function that adds greater versatility to the messaging platform.
The 9to5 Mac portal points that innovation is linked to version 22.4.75 of the app, which will arrive on your Apple phone through an update.
In general, the default configuration of iOS updates the apps automatically. However, you can check this at Settings > App Store > Automatic Downloadswhere the “App updates” box must be enabled.
Prior to this innovation, if you listened to an audio message from a person or a group chat, you could not leave the window in which the voice note was sent, as it stopped playing.
Now, with the update, the messages will continue to play in the background; your progress will be displayed in a playback bar at the top of the screen called “Global Voice Note Player”.
In case your WhatsApp does not yet have this function, remember that updates are normally distributed gradually to the app’s millions of users.
At the closing of the edition of this note, we did not find the update to version 22.4.75 of WhatsApp for Android.
In addition to this improvement to voice notes, WhatsApp recently added a feature that allows you to listen to audio before sending it. To preview recorded audio, simply drag the microphone icon to the padlock and pause the message until a player is displayed.
