If you’re looking to bag a new laptop for a low price you should know that Amazon Prime Day is not the only game in town. Walmart has Deals for Days, four days to be precise, and this mega shopping event lasts one day longer than Amazon’s — ending on June 23, instead of June 22.

This is a good time to buy a new laptop, with some deep deals on Chromebooks and Windows laptops on offer. Sadly, Walmart’s Apple deals don’t stretch to MacBooks, but there are some tempting alternatives that won’t break the bank.

You should always dig into the spec sheet before you buy a new laptop to avoid disappointment. We have lots of handy tips on what to look for and how to choose the right laptop for your needs in our guides to the best laptops and the best cheap laptops.

The best Walmart Chromebook deals

While they’ve always been affordable, the best Chromebooks have also improved in terms of performance and build quality in recent years. Walmart is offering deals on a whole slew of Chromebooks that could prove ideal for students, people seeking an option for web browsing and movie streaming, or folks who need a computer for basic light work tasks.

A 360-degree hinge enables this Chromebook to double up as a tablet and it boasts a smart aluminum finish. The battery life is impressive and should last you a day easily. There are also lots of ports, a decent keyboard and trackpad, and a solid display. Walmart has knocked around $60 off the usual price.

This affordable Chromebook from Lenovo is a great option for people on-the-go because it’s easily portable and can hold a charge.

The best Walmart Windows laptop deals

If you need Microsoft Windows on your laptop, there are several discounted options running Windows 10. Some are small and offer modest performance, while others boast large displays and serious processing power. The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 is one of our favorite budget laptops as it combines a versatile design with an excellent keyboard and decent performance.

Gamers might fancy this midrange laptop which is packing a 16.1-inch, 1080p IPS display, with an Intel Core i5-10300H inside backed by 8GB of RAM. There’s also a fairly generous 256GB SSD for storage and an Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics card. A sleek design with a backlit keyboard rounds off a tempting prospect, especially when you factor in the $120 discount.

Does Walmart hold a competing sale during Amazon Prime Day?

Walmart has its own Deals for Days through June 23, outlasting Amazon Prime Day 2021. If this sounds familiar, Walmart pulled the same trick last year. Walmart’s Big Save Event in 2020 ran from October 13 through 15 — a whole day longer than Prime Day.

Are Walmart’s Deals for Days worth buying?

Most of Walmart’s Prime Day deals are worth picking up and directly rival the sales we see on Amazon and retailers like Target and Best Buy during Prime Day. Many are even the best prices we’ve seen for certain products. Read our guide to the best deals from the event.

How does a Walmart Plus membership play into Amazon Prime Day 2021?

Currently, there aren’t any event-specific perks that Walmart Plus subscribers will receive. However, they will enjoy the same benefits they do year-round when shopping the deals, from free same-day delivery to fuel discounts to the newly-added Rx for less.

If you’re interested in trialing the membership, there’s a 15-day free trial. If you sign up now, you’ll be covered during the Deals for Days event.

Since Walmart Plus’ launch last September, it’s become a major competitor against Amazon Prime Grocery Delivery.
