Streaming platforms are constantly launching promotions to add new paying customers. Now, Paramount Plus has premiered the first episode of the Halo series for free on YouTube.
The intention of the service is to give the opportunity to see the premiere of the adaptation to those who do not have a subscription, at least to fans who are in the United States, since this promotion is only available, for now, in that territory.
It may be a good strategy on the part of the studio, especially considering that the first chapter of Halo had a good reception among viewers, who have applauded the adaptation that was made of the game and that it takes a certain distance from the story proposed by the developer Bungie.
There are currently two episodes available on Paramount Plus and the full season is expected to be nine episodes long. Lovers of this franchise will be able to enjoy a premiere every Thursday on the streaming platform. So far, Paramount has not indicated whether it will release other episodes of the series for free on YouTube.
Halo stars Pablo Schreiber, from american godsas Master Chief, Natascha McElhone, from Californication, as Dr. Halsey, and Jen Taylor, Cortana’s voice actress in the Halo games, as Master Chief’s AI assistant. The series has already been renewed for a second season and premiered on Paramount Plus on March 24.
Speaking of deals, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also offers a free month of Paramount Plus so fans can watch the Halo series in its entirety.
